It Was a Beautiful Wedding

Congratulations, Felicity and Diego... you're a fine looking couple with much happiness in your future.

More pics may follow.

Update, 1345 hours:  We've been reviewing and sharing pics at the SN1 house today. Here's one taken by Uncle Phil...

I got drunk happy enough to actually light the thing before the end of the evening.

  1. Great looking kids--were we ever that young-looking, Buck? LOL

(True story: We got married in Los Angeles (73) and somehow the caterer mixed up the dates and was a no-show for the reception food. "Plan B" was a mad scramble in which we ended up with a smorgasbord of delicatessen food procured at the last minute at Factors Famous deli (since 1948) on W. Pico. .The guests LOVED it! LOL!!

    1. I'm thinkin' deli food is prolly better... on average... than yer typical caterer's fare. The food this past Saturday was OK, but only just.

  2. PS: Actually, we were married in Santa Monica, to be technical about it..

  3. PPS: Funny how life works out. We had always talked about marrying in St. Louis Cathedral-Basilica in New Orleans, but life didn't work out that way. Now were talking about renewing vows for fortieth anniversary there. (Don't know if I'll last to 50th, lol)

    1. Virgil, I'm a terrible giver of unasked for advice, so humor me.

I will celebrate #34 in two weeks. If there is any way in hell that we make it to 40, I'd NEVER even consider a renewal of vows. Might screw things up. If you've made it to 40, I think the first go-'round was sufficient!

  5. Beautiful lady! Beeeeeeeuuuuuuuutiful! Groom's okay, but that's the way it's supposed to be. It's her day to shine. And, SHINE, I'm sure she did.

Uncle Buck couldn't talk 'em out of it, huh?

Oh well...our best to all two of 'em!

Not to patronize, but you're lookin' pretty good there yourself Uncle Buck. Seriously. And, honestly, I can say that I like your necktie WAY more than the young groom's.

    HAPPY, HAPPY, JOY, JOY!!!

    1. Felicity did shine. EVERYONE in the family was amazed and mystified at her "girly" persona, which is to say make-up, dress, etc. Lis is NOT known for bein' a girly-girl, but she can pull that off with aplomb when the situation calls for it.

And thanks for the other kind words.

  7. Your grand-daughter is gorgeous! And the groom's not shabby either. Handsome couple! It looks like it was a beautiful wedding too. Congrats to Erma for pulling it off.

    1. Aunt Maribel gets the lion's share of the wedding credit. I'm not diminishing Erm's role at all, but Maribel was a prime mover in the event.

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
